Ladies and Gentlemen – welcome to the Stars of Wellbeing Blog, well my piece anyway.
First of all let me say I’m 50 on the 17th of February 2012. Yes an Aquarian, I know..works for me anyway 
A Big Change
It’s a big year, a turning point in my life… Well my 49th year was certainly a big change. Some would say I’m having a Midlife Crisis, but I don’t agree. I’ve travelled my road & all the life experiences that have brought me to this place tell me that there is more… much more for me in the years to come.

I get really excited about the possibilities of life, and that’s why I’m loving the prospect of sharing my journey with you. Thats why Carl, John and I started StarsofWellbeing.com – to give you a chance to sample the wonderful people that we’ve met, our Stars. We’ve got great learnings and experiences with these experts and gurus of the personal development and self development worlds. I’m sure you will too!
For me I’m focussed on my spiritual journey. I’m sure that deep down life really comes from that place. Its about really understanding what I am here for in this life. What is my life purpose? I’m sure its a question that everyone asks at least once. I’m old enough and ugly enough to know by now that I’m here to serve…
I’m really hoping to serve you, bringing you great experiences and learnings with the fantastic Stars on our website, their views, their products and services. Great people like Jamie Smart, Adam Eason, Richard Wilkins, Tim Brownson and more. Its going to be a great journey for all of us.

The Journey Begins with 4 J’s
Well it all started taking shape when I met Jamie Smart. at the NLP conference in 2010. He was talking about a new paradigm in self development. That intrigued me… He intrigued me. So I decided to take the journey with him and join his private Inner Circle. What a great decision that was.
If Jamie Smart is the first J in this story, the second belongs to Joe Jaworski. Have you ever read Synchronicity? No? Well its a fantastic book, a life changer… at least it was for me. It charts his life journey from leaving his old life as a successful lawyer, all the way to creating the Global Leadership Forum to leading Strategy Development for Shell to… well, I won’t tell you the ending, but it’s fabulous!
Okay I know that some people will pass this book by, its a question of timing. Pick this book up just as you are asking ‘the BIG question’ and it will serve you well
Someone who looms large in Synchronicity is the third J, Dr Joseph Campbell. Ever heard of the Hero’s Journey? Great book! Quite difficult to get hold of, but it’s well worth it. Mine is never far from my side. In it he describes man’s right of passage… a process that is common to many races & cultures through History, and the principles are still true today. There’s quite a bit of Joe Campbell on YouTube. Why don’t you check him out?
These quests and trials are something we all take on in our lives, thats Dr Joe’s assertion. Joe Jaworski introduces this concept to help describe his journey. It really struck me..I can clearly see the quests and challenges in my life and take them on with gusto… except when I don’t
And of course the fourth J is me, Julian Freeman, the guy taking this journey and loving it!

When I started Starsofwellbeing.com with a most enthusiastic Carl J Harvey, he was the man who wanted to be in front of the camera & producing products. In fact, I’ll tell you for free that the camera loves him and if he hadn’t trained in the law he would have been an actor!
Up to that point I’d been the backstage man. Okay I’d done presenting to bigger & bigger audiences in my 20 year corporate career. I worked with a Performance Coaching Business for a while too, which was really enjoyable! But I never felt like a pulpit-bashing Billy Graham… although my family will probably tell you that I can make a pretty good job of a speech at any family event
When we started the website I had worked for 10 years an internet marketer. It’s another behind the scenes role. You can be pretty successful in your own home or from your own desk… and i was… but I had a feeling that there was something else out there for me.
In November of 2011 we were doing some planning for the next developments of the site and Carl suggested I do my own product. Well I have enjoyed doing some of the filming that you will no doubt have seen by now… so I thought why not - and in true Joe Campbell style my quest was on! I had no idea where this is going to take me, but I’m game.
So now I’m plotting my first product. I’m going to put my Internet marketing and presentation skills and anything else I’ve got to tell people about my journey, my transformation – and help inspire you to go on your journey.
You see, I didn’t do Personal Develoment. I hadn’t spent any money on me and my growth for many years. So I’m new to this. Nobody could call me a guru! so Im in a great place to walk the journey with you as we travel through our lives and meet the people who help us make our lives everything they can be.
So that’s my quest. Find great people, Stars, to bring you inspiration and insights to make your life more complete. Oh – and do it in an engaging & experiential way for the both of us. I’m really excited about it… aren’t you?
